Students with reduced entitlement E+W

80.—(1) Subject to Chapter 4 of this Part, the maximum amount of loan for living costs for which a student with reduced entitlement qualifies in respect of an academic year of a course other than the final year of a course that is not an intensive course is—

(a) where the student does not qualify for a grant for living and other costs in relation to the academic year because of regulation 38(4)(a)—

(i) for a student in category A, [F1 £1,902];

(ii) for a student in category B, [F2 £3,558];

(iii) for a student in category C or D, [F3 £2,534].

(b) where the student does not qualify for a grant for living and other costs in relation to the academic year because of [F4 regulation 38(6)]—

(i) for a student in category A, [F5 £2,155];

(ii) for a student in category B, [F6 £4,035];

(iv) for a student in category D, [F25 £4,424].

[F26 (f) where a 2016 cohort student applies for a loan for living costs and opts not to provide the information needed to calculate the household income, the amount is—

(i) for a student in category A, [F27 £3,516];

(ii) for a student in category B, [F28 £6,166];

(iii) for a student in category C, [F29 £5,253];

(iv) for a student in category D, [F30 £4,422].]

(2) Subject to Chapter 4 of this Part, the maximum amount of loan for living costs for which a student with reduced entitlement qualifies in respect of an academic year that is the final year of a course that is not an intensive course is—

(a) where the student does not qualify for a grant for living and other costs in relation to the academic year because of regulation 38(4)(a)—
