The Archbishops of Canterbury and York, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 13(2) of the Church of England (Miscellaneous Provisions) Measure 2010 F1 , make the following Instrument:

Citation and interpretation E

1.—(1) This Instrument may be cited as the Church of England (Miscellaneous Provisions) Measure 2010 (Appointed Day No. 1) Instrument 2010.

(2)  In this Instrument “the Measure” means the Church of England (Miscellaneous Provisions) Measure 2010.

Appointed days E

2.  The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Measure specified in Schedule 1 is 1st July 2010.

3.  The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Measure specified in Schedule 2 is 1st September 2010.

(This note is not part of the Instrument)

This Instrument brings into force sections 3, 4, 9, 10(1) and (3) and 13 of the Church of England (Miscellaneous Provisions) Measure 2010 (“the Measure”) on 1st July 2010. The remaining provisions of the Measure, except for section 8, are brought into force on 1st September 2010.
