Atal difrod amgylcheddol pellach

14.—(1) Rhaid i weithredwr gweithgaredd sydd wedi achosi difrod amgylcheddol, neu sydd wedi achosi difrod pan fo seiliau rhesymol dros gredu bod y difrod yn ddifrod amgylcheddol neu y bydd yn datblygu i fod yn ddifrod o'r fath, wneud y canlynol ar unwaith—

(a)cymryd pob cam ymarferol i atal difrod pellach; a

(b)hysbysu'r awdurdod gorfodi, y mae'n ymddangos mai hwnnw yw'r un priodol, o'r holl fanylion perthnasol.

(2) Caiff yr awdurdod gorfodi gyflwyno hysbysiad i'r gweithredwr hwnnw sydd—

(a)yn disgrifio'r difrod;

(b)yn ei gwneud yn ofynnol i'r gweithredwr ddarparu gwybodaeth ychwanegol am unrhyw ddifrod sydd wedi digwydd;

(c)yn pennu'r mesurau sy'n ofynnol i atal difrod pellach; ac

(ch)yn ei gwneud yn ofynnol i'r gweithredwr gymryd y mesurau hynny, neu fesurau sydd o leiaf yn gyfwerth â hwy, o fewn y cyfnod a bennir yn yr hysbysiad.

(3) Mae methu â chydymffurfio â pharagraff (1) neu hysbysiad a gyflwynwyd o dan baragraff (2) yn dramgwydd.
