The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 90(6) of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021(1), makes the following Regulations.
1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 (Commencement No. 3) Regulations 2022.
(2) In these Regulations “the Act” means the Domestic Abuse Act 2021.
(3) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.
2. Section 3 (children as victims of domestic abuse) comes into force so far as not already in force on 31st January 2022.

These Regulations are the third commencement regulations made under the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 (“the Act”). They bring into force section 3 (so far as not already in force) on 31st January 2022.
Regulation 2 brings into force section 3 of the Act (so far as not already in force). Section 3 of the Act makes provision in relation to children as victims of domestic abuse.
An impact assessment has not been published for these Regulations as no significant impact on the private, voluntary or public sector is foreseen independent of the provisions these Regulations bring into force.
