The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council
Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 4(4) of the Territorial Sea Act 1987(1), is pleased by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
1. This Order may be cited as the Territorial Sea Act 1987 (Guernsey) Order 2014 and shall come into force on 19th May 2014.
2. Sections 1 and 4(1) of the Territorial Sea Act 1987 shall extend to the Bailiwick of Guernsey with the exceptions, adaptations and modifications specified in the Schedule to this Order.

Article 2
In section 1—
(a)Subsections (1)(a) and (2) shall be omitted;
(b)In subsection (3), for “Secretary of State” there shall be substituted “Lieutenant Governor”;
(c)In subsections (4) and (5), for “coming into force of this section” there shall be substituted “extension of this section to the Bailiwick of Guernsey”;
(d)In subsections (5) and (6), for “United Kingdom” there shall be substituted “Bailiwick of Guernsey”;
(e)In subsections (5) and (6), after “enactment” there shall be inserted “contained in an Act of Parliament”.

This Order extends to the Bailiwick of Guernsey certain provisions of the Territorial Sea Act 1987, principally those which concern the baselines from which the breadth of the territorial sea is measured, with the exceptions, adaptations and modifications specified in the Schedule to the Order.
