(2) These Regulations extend to the Isle of Man.

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations revoke regulation 9 of the Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records and Registration) (Isle of Man) Regulations 2011 which prescribed which police forces were “relevant” police forces for the purposes of providing information to be disclosed on an enhanced criminal record certificate under section 113B of the Police Act 1997 (c. 50). Under changes made by section 82(3) of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (c. 9), police forces no longer need to be prescribed, rather the Secretary of State will determine the relevant chief officer in relation to a certificate.
1997 c. 50; section 113B was inserted by section 163(2) of the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 (c. 15).
