Their Lordships make the following Order of Council in exercise of the power conferred by article 1(5) of the Pharmacy Order 2010(1).
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Pharmacy Order 2010 (Commencement No. 2) Order of Council 2010 and comes into force on 27th September 2010.
(2) In this Order, “the Order” means the Pharmacy Order 2010.
2.—(1) Subject to paragraph (2), the day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Order which are specified in the Schedule is 27th September 2010.
(2) The day appointed for the coming into force of —
(a)paragraphs (6) to (10) of article 24 of the Order; and
(b)paragraph (2) of article 40 of the Order, in so far as it relates to paragraphs (6) to (10) of article 24 of the Order,
is 4th January 2011.

This Order is made under article 1(5) of the Pharmacy Order 2010 (S.I.2010/231) (“the Order”). It makes provision for the coming into force of the Order except in so far as it is already in force.
Article 1 makes provision in respect of citation and commencement.
Article 2 makes specific provision in respect of the appointed day for the purposes of article 1(5) of the Order. Sub-paragraph (1) of article 2 appoints 27th September 2010 as the day for the coming into force of the provisions of the Order which are specified in the Schedule. Sub-paragraph (2) of article 2 appoints 4th January 2011 as day for the coming into force of certain other provisions of the Order.
