In exercise of the powers conferred by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 1977(1) and section 5(1), and paragraph 29(1) of Schedule 2 to the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990(2) and now vested in the National Assembly for Wales(3), the National Assembly for Wales considering it appropriate in the interests of the health service to make this Order(4), and after completion of the consultation period prescribed under paragraph 29(3) of Schedule 2 to the latter Act(5), hereby makes the following Order:
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Powys Health Care National Health Service Trust (Dissolution) Order 2003.
(2) This Order shall come into force on 1st April 2003.
2. The Powys Health Care National Health Service Trust established by the Powys Health Care National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1992(6) is hereby dissolved, and accordingly that Order is hereby revoked.

This Order provides for the dissolution on 1st April 2003 of the Powys Health Care National Health Service Trust established on 16 November 1992.
1977 c. 49; section 126(3) was amended by section 65(2) of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990 (c. 19) (“the 1990 Act”) and by section 2(1) of, and paragraph 57 of Schedule 1 to, the Health Authorities Act 1995 (c. 17) (“the 1995 Act”).
1990 c. 19; section 5(1) was amended by section 65(2), section 13(1)(a) and (10) of, and Schedule 5 to, the Health Act 1999 (c. 8) and section 2(1) of and paragraph 69(b) of Schedule 1 to, the 1995 Act.
Functions of the Secretary of State, so far as exercisable in relation to Wales, transferred to the National Assembly for Wales, by the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) Order 1999, S.I. 1999/672.
