The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 12(1), (2), (5) and (6) and 13(1) to (4) and 14(1) and (3) to (9) of the Energy Act 2016(1), section 67(2) and (3)(b) of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009(2), section 82OA(2) of the Energy Act 2008(3), section 302(1) of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995(4) and section 56(1) and (2) of the Finance Act 1973(5), makes the following Regulations.
The Secretary of State has consulted the Oil and Gas Authority in accordance with sections 12(8) and 13(8) of the Energy Act 2016.
The Secretary of State has obtained the consent of the Treasury in accordance with section 302(1) of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995 and section 56(1) of the Finance Act 1973.
2009 c.23. The Secretary of State makes these Regulations as the appropriate licensing authority under section 113(2)(a), (4)(a), (6)(a) and (8) of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009.
2008 c.32. Section 82OA is inserted by the Energy Act 2016.
1973 c.51. Section 56 is amended by S.I. 2011/1043.
