The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 17(2)(a) and (c)(1), (3) and (3ZB)(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(3).
Representative organisations have been consulted in accordance with section 134(2)(4) of that Act.
Section 17(2) was amended by the Scotland Act 2012 (c. 11), section 21(3), and by the New Roads and Street Works Act 1992 (c. 22), Schedule 8, paragraph 28(3); there are other amending instruments but none is relevant.
Section 17(3ZB) was inserted by the Scotland Act 2012, section 21(4).
Section 134(2) was amended by the Scotland Act 2016 (c. 11), Schedule 2, paragraph 12.
