The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 of the Mesothelioma Act 2014(1).
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Diffuse Mesothelioma Payment Scheme (Amendment) Regulations 2014 and come into force on 1st July 2014.
2. In Schedule 4 (Amount of Scheme Payments) to the Diffuse Mesothelioma Payment Scheme Regulations 2014(2) for Table 1 substitute—

These Regulations substitute the table in Schedule 4 to the Mesothelioma Payment Scheme Regulations 2014. This has the effect of increasing the level of payments made under the scheme for each age category by an average £8000.
