1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Local Government Pension Scheme (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2014.
(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales(1).
(3) These Regulations shall come into force on 10th February 2014 but—
(a)Regulations 2 and 3 have effect from 1st April 2013;
(b)the provisions inserted by regulations 4 and 5 relating to the Housing Ombudsman, have effect from 2nd April 2013;
(c)the revocation of paragraphs (3A) to (3G) of regulation 38 of the Local Government Pension Scheme (Administration) Regulations 2008(2), effected by the substitution of regulation 38 by regulation 7 of these Regulations, has effect from 1st April 2012.
The Secretary of State’s functions under section 7 of the Superannuation Act 1972 in so far as they were exercisable in relation to Scotland were devolved to Scottish Ministers by section 63 of the Scotland Act 1998 (c. 46) and article 2 of, and Schedule 1 to, the Scotland Act 1998 (Transfer of Functions to Scottish Ministers etc) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/1750).
S.I. 2008/239, amended by S.I. 2008/1083, S.I. 2008/2425, S.I. 2008/2989, S.I. 2008/3245, S.I.2009/1025, S.I. 2009/3150, S.I. 2010/528, S.I. 2010/2090 and S.I. 2012/1989; paragraphs (3A) to (3G) of regulation 38 were inserted by S.I. 2008/2989.
