The Secretary of State, having consulted the Authority(1), makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5(1) and (8) of the Electricity Act 1989(2).

The Secretary of State has given notice of the proposal to make this Order in accordance with section 5(2) and (11) of that Act. No representations in respect of the proposal have been made.

“The Authority” is defined by section 111 of the Electricity Act 1989 as the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority.

(2)

1989 c.29; section 5 was substituted by section 29 of the Utilities Act 2000 (c.27) and amended by section 145(4) of the Energy Act 2004 (c.20) and articles 2 and 5 of S.I. 2012/2400.
