Coming into force in accordance with Article 1
The Secretary of State for International Development makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by paragraph 24(2) of Schedule 5 to the Crown Agents Act 1979(1) and now vested in him(2).
The Secretary of State is satisfied that the requirements of the provisions cited in paragraphs 24(2)(a) and (b) of Schedule 5 to that Act(3) have been complied with.
1. This Order may be cited as the Crown Agents Holding and Realisation Board (Dissolution) Order 2009 and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.
2. The Crown Agents Holding and Realisation Board is dissolved.

This Order dissolves the Crown Agents Holding and Realisation Board (the Board).
Paragraph 24(2) of Schedule 5 to the Crown Agents Act 1979 provides that any liabilities that have been incurred by the Board on or after the 31 March 2008 (the prescribed day by virtue of the Crown Agents Holding and Realisation Board (Prescribed Day) Order 2008, S.I. 2008/921) shall become liabilities of the Secretary of State.
An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
1979 c.43; sections 11 and 24(1) to (4) were repealed by section 13(2) and Schedule 2 of the Crown Agents Act 1995 (c.24) except in relation to the Crown Agents Holding and Realisation Board by virtue of section 11(8) that Act.
