The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 to the Police Act 1996(1), makes the following Regulations.
In accordance with the provisions of paragraph 6 of Schedule 2 to the Act the Secretary of State has consulted with the Association of Police Authorities, persons whom she considered to represent the interests of county and district councils in England and county and county borough councils in Wales, and such other persons as she thought fit.
1996 c. 16. Schedule 2 was substituted by paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Police and Justice Act 2006 (c. 48) and is prospectively repealed by paragraph 46 of Schedule 16 to the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 (c. 13).
