Notification of bail decision by a magistrate after arrest while on bail

19.12.  Where a person who has been released on bail and is under a duty to surrender into the custody of a court is brought under section 7(4)(a) of the Bail Act 1976(1) before a justice of the peace, the justice shall cause a copy of the record made in pursuance of section 5 of that Act relating to his decision under section 7(5) of that Act(2) in respect of that person to be sent to the court officer for that court:

Provided that this rule shall not apply where the court is a magistrates’ court acting for the same local justice area as that for which the justice acts.
