1. This Order may be cited as the Crime (International Co-operation) Act 2003 (Designation of Participating Countries) (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) Order 2010 and shall come into force on the first day of the month following the expiry of three months from the date on which the United Kingdom deposits an instrument of ratification in respect of the Second Additional Protocol to the European Convention on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters(1) with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe(2).
2. This Order extends to England and Wales and Northern Ireland.
3. Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Israel, Montenegro, Serbia and Switzerland are designated as participating countries under section 51(2)(b) of the 2003 Act for the purposes of sections 31, 47 and 48 of, and paragraph 15 of Schedule 2 to, the 2003 Act.
4. Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Israel, Montenegro and Serbia are also designated as participating countries under section 51(2)(b) of the 2003 Act for the purposes of sections 4 and 4B(3) of that Act.
