3.—(1) In these Regulations—
“the CAA” means the Civil Aviation Authority;
“the EC Regulation” means Regulation (EC) No 1008/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24th September 2008 on common rules for the operation of air services in the Community(1);
“United Kingdom national” has the same meaning as in section 105(1) of the Civil Aviation Act 1982(2).
(2) The expressions “Community air carrier”, “competent licensing authority”, “dry lease agreement”, “operating licence”, “scheduled air service”, “traffic right” and “wet lease agreement” have the meanings given by Article 2 of the EC Regulation.
