1. These Regulations may be cited as the Social Security (Industrial Injuries) (Prescribed Diseases) Amendment Regulations 2008 and shall come into force on 7th April 2008.
2.—(1) Part I of Schedule 1 to the Social Security (Industrial Injuries) (Prescribed Diseases) Regulations 1985(1) (list of prescribed diseases and the occupations for which they are prescribed), is amended as follows.
(2) After the entry relating to prescribed disease D12 add the following entry—
“D13. Primary carcinoma of the nasopharynx. | Exposure to wood dust in the course of the processing of wood or the manufacture or repair of wood products, for a period or periods which amount in aggregate to at least 10 years.”. |
