5. The brake efficiency shall be not less than—
(a)for the service braking
(i)in the case of a passenger vehicle, 60%; or
(ii)in the case of a goods vehicle, 50%
(b)for the secondary braking in the case when the servo-assistance provided for the service braking (if any) fails and a force is applied to the control
(i)in the case of a passenger vehicle, 30% when the force applied is 50kg; or
(ii)in the case of a goods vehicle, 25% when the force applied is 70kg.
(c)18% for the parking braking.
