In exercise of powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 537A(1) and (2) and 569(4) and (5) of the Education Act 1996(1), the Secretary of State for Education and Employment hereby makes the following Regulations:

1998 c. 56. Section 537A was substituted by paragraph 153 of Schedule 30 to the School Standards and Framework
