Amendments relating to fees
6.—(1) Regulation 34 shall be amended as follows.
(2) For paragraph (2) there shall be substituted the following paragraphs–
“(2) Subject to paragraph (2A), where the time appointed for a re-examination under regulation 33 is, at the request of the person required to submit the vehicle for re-examination, out of hours, the fee in respect of the re-examination shall be increased by £8.40.
(2A) Where the vehicle testing station appointed for a re-examination under regulation 33 is, at the applicant’s request, not one provided by the Secretary of State under section 52(2) of the 1988 Act, the fee in respect of the re-examination shall be increased, or, in a case where paragraph (2) applies, further increased, by £3.50 in the case of a motor vehicle and £1.60 in the case of a trailer.”
(3) In paragraph (3), for the words “paragraph (2)” there shall be substituted the words “paragraph (2) or (2A)”.
