The Secretary of State, in exercise of powers conferred on him by section 11(3)(b) and (3A) and section 23(1) of the Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act 1979(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—

1979 c. 36; subsection (3A) of section 11 was inserted by S.I. 1983/884, article 3, and subsequently amended by S.I. 1984/1975; subsection (3) of section 11 was amended by and subsection (3B) was inserted by S.I. 1996/ . Section 23(1) defines “prescribed” as “prescribed by the Secretary of State by order”.
