The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980(1), and now vested in him(2), and of all other enabling powers:—

1.  The Folkestone-Brighton-Southampton-Dorchester-Honiton Trunk Road (Guestling Thorn Diversion) Order 1964(3) is hereby revoked.

2.  This Order shall come into force on 19th March 1993 and may be cited as the Folkestone-Brighton-Southampton-Dorchester-Honiton Trunk Road (Guestling Thorn Diversion) (Revocation) Order 1993.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order revokes an Order made under section 7 of the Highways Act 1959, which provided for the trunking of a new route for the A259 trunk road at Guestling Thorn, East Sussex and the detrunking of the existing trunk road.
