Article 2(1)

SCHEDULE 1THE DESIGNATED AREAS

PART I

Dumfries and Galloway Region

1.  The area of land within Nithsdale District comprising that part of the Parish of New Abbey bounded as follows:—

  • On the north by the Glensone Burn running in an easterly direction until it meets the weir below the junction of the Glensone Burn and the Kinharvie Burn; on the east by the Kinharvie Plantation and the Kinharvie Burn running in a southerly direction until Hawkhill; on the south by Hayfield Knowe, part of the Kinharvie Plantation, in a westerly direction until the Cullendeugh Plantation; and on the west running in a northerly direction by the eastern side of the Cullendeugh Plantation to the point national grid reference NX 917659 and onwards to Riddlebank.

PART II

Strathclyde Region

2.  The area of land within Kyle and Carrick District and comprising that part of the Parish of Straiton bounded as follows:—

  • On the north from the point national grid reference NS 450025 continuing in a south-easterly direction over Rowantree Craig to the boundary between Kyle and Carrick District and Cumnock and Doon Valley District at the point national grid reference NS 477015; then following the western edge of Loch Doon to the point where the Garpel Burn issues and continuing up said Burn in a westerly direction to the weir at the south-eastern end of Loch Finlas; then following generally the eastern edge of said Loch to its northern end and continuing in a north-westerly direction up the unnamed burn to the point national grid reference NX 449998; then continuing in a north-westerly direction to the point national grid reference NS 442015; then continuing in a north-easterly direction to Black Loch; and then continuing in a north-easterly direction to the point national grid reference NS 450025.

3.  The area of land within Kilmarnock and Loudoun District comprising that part of the Parish of Fenwick bounded as follows:—

  • On the north from the point national grid reference NS 475483 continuing in an easterly direction by the boundary between the Parishes of Fenwick and Stewarton and the Swinzie Burn to the point national grid reference NS 492483; then in a northerly direction to the point national grid reference NS 493487 and continuing in a south-easterly direction until the minor road at the point national grid reference NS 502483; then in a south-westerly direction to the point national grid reference NS 479466 and continuing in a north-westerly direction to the point national grid reference NS 475471; then in a north-easterly direction to the point national grid reference NS 478475 and continuing in a north-westerly direction to the point national grid reference NS 475483.

Central Region

4.  The area of land within Stirling District comprising that part of the Parish of Callander bounded as follows:—

  • On the north from the point national grid reference NN 545126 continuing in an eastern direction to the summit of Stuc Dhubh and then generally in an eastern direction by the boundary between the parishes of Callander and Balquidder to the summit of Ardnadave Hill; then continuing to the south to the summit of Ben Ledi and then westerly to the point national grid reference NN556098 and then south-westerly to the summit of the Stuc Odhar; then in a north-westerly direction to the point national grid reference NN 539100 on the Gleann Casaig Burn and then northwards by the said burn to the point national grid reference NN 545126.
