1. These Regulations may be cited as the Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Recording Equipment) (Approval of Fitters and Workshops) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1991 and shall come into force on 1st April 1991.
2. In Regulation 3 of the Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Recording Equipment) (Approval of Fitters and Workshops) (Fees) Regulations 1986(3) for “£230” there shall be substituted “£244” and for “£93” there shall be substituted “£99”.

These Regulations amend the Passenger and Goods Vehicles (Recording Equipment) (Approval of Fitters and Workshops) (Fees) Regulations 1986 to increase the fees for the approval of fitters or workshops for the installation or repair of recording equipment (Tachographs). The fees were last increased in December 1989.
The fee for the issue of an approval is increased from £230 to £244 and for the renewal of an approval from £93 to £99.
S.I. 1988/643, which was made under section 102 of the Finance (No.2) Act 1987 (c. 51). The relevant reference in S.I. 1988/643 is Table II of Schedule 1.
