The Western Isles Islands Council (Govig) Water Order 1991

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 17(1) of the Water (Scotland) Act 1980(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, on the application of the Western Isles Islands Council, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Western Isles Islands Council (Govig) Water Order 1991 and shall come into force on 18th December 1991.

Approval of agreement to take water

2.  In so far as it relates to the acquisition by the Western Isles Islands Council of the right to take water from that un-named loch lying to the north-west of Govig, Isle of Harris at National Grid Reference NB0040 1000 and to the reservations and conditions contained therein affecting said right, the Minute of Agreement entered into between Enessy Co. SA of the first part and the Western Isles Islands Council of the other part, dated 26th August and 20th September, both months in the year 1991, and recorded in the Division of the Register of Sasines for the County of Inverness and registered in the Books of Council and Session both on 28th October 1991, is hereby approved.

Miscellaneous

3.  The Western Isles Islands Council shall at all times after the expiration of six months from the date on which this Order comes into force keep at the office of the Chief Executive of the Council a copy thereof and an extract of the said Agreement.
