5. Marking
5.1 The unit shall be marked indelibly with—
.1the manufacturer’s name or trade mark;
.2the batch number or other means of identifying the unit;
.3the words “DOT (UK) APPROVED” or “DTp (UK) APPROVED”; and
.4clear and concise directions in English for activating the light supported by illustrations.
5.2 The unit or power source as appropriate, shall be marked indelibly with the date of manufacture and expiry of the power source.
