The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 4(3) and (4) of the Trustee Savings Banks Act 1985, hereby make the following Order:—
1. This Order may be cited as the Trustee Savings Banks Act 1985 (Appointed Day) (No. 2) Order 1986.
2. 20th July 1986 shall be the appointed day for the purposes of the repeal of the provisions of:—
(a)the Trustee Savings Banks Act 1981 which are set out in Schedule 1 to this Order; and
(b)the other enactments which are set out in Schedule 2 to this Order.

This Order appoints 20th July 1986 as the date for the repeal of paragraph 10 of Schedule 7 to the Trustee Savings Banks Act 1981 (which relates to the parts of the National Savings Stock Register formerly kept by trustees of the existing trustee savings banks) and of certain other enactments provided for by the Trustee Savings Banks Act 1985.
