Mental Health (Amendment) Act 1994

1994 CHAPTER 6

An Act to amend section 145(1) of the Mental Health Act 1983.

[24th March 1994]

Be it enacted by the Queen’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1Definition of managers

In section 145(1) of the [1983 c. 20.] Mental Health Act 1983 (definitions) in the definition of “the managers”, in paragraph (bb) the words “the directors of” shall be omitted.

2Short title, extent and commencement

(1)This Act may be cited as the Mental Health (Amendment) Act 1994.

(2)This Act extends to England and Wales only.

(3)This Act shall come into force twenty-one days after Royal Assent.
