A Measure passed by the National Assembly of the Church of England To amend the Law relating to the Tables of Lessons contained in the Prayer Book.

[4th August 1922]

1 Use of Revised Tables of Lessons authorised.U.K.

On and after the First Sunday in Advent next after the passing of this Measure the Tables of Lessons contained in the Schedule to this Measure may be followed at the discretion of the Minister in lieu of the Table of Proper Lessons and the Table of Daily First and Second Lessons contained in the second part of the Schedule to the M1Prayer Book (Tables of Lessons) Act 1871 and thereby directed to be printed and published in the Book of Common Prayer of the Church of England:

Provided that when the Tables of Lessons contained in the Schedule to this Measure have once been adopted in any Church or Chapel the same Tables shall there be continuously followed at least until the end of the ecclesiastical year.

In this Measure the expression “Minister” means the rector vicar or perpetual curate of a parish or the curate in charge of a parish.

3 Short title.U.K.

This Measure may be cited as the Revised Tables of Lessons Measure 1922.
