Regulation 18(1)
1. The following are NHS organisations for the purposes of these Regulations—
(a)a Health Board, a Special Health Board, the Common Services Agency for the Scottish Health Service (constituted by section 10 of the 1978 Act) or Healthcare Improvement Scotland (established by section 10A of the 1978 Act(1));
(b)the Mental Welfare Commission for Scotland (established under section 4 of the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003(2)).
2. The Scottish Ministers may agree to treat any other body constituted under an enactment relating (in whole or part) to health services as an NHS organisation for the purposes of these Regulations.
3. The following are medical contractors for the purposes of these Regulations—
(a)a GMS practice;
(b)a HBPMS practice;
(c)a Section 17C Agreement provider;
(d)an OOH provider.
4. The following are medical practitioners for the purposes of these Regulations—
(a)a medical practitioner;
(b)a locum medical practitioner;
(c)a non-GP provider.
5. The following are dental practitioners for the purposes of these Regulations—
(a)a general dental practitioner;
(b)an assistant dental practitioner.
6. A determination employer is a person who is the employer of a person in respect of whom a determination has been made pursuant to section 25(5) of the 2013 Act.
