The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 104(1) of the Police, Public Order and Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 2006(1), hereby make the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Police, Public Order and Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 2006 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2006.
2. The following provisions of the Police, Public Order and Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 2006 shall come into force on 1st September 2006:–
(a)Chapter 3 of Part 1 (allowances payable to special constables, appointments of assistant inspectors of constabulary and staff officers and constables engaged on service outside their force) (sections 48 to 50);
(b)Chapter 1 of Part 2 (football banning orders) (sections 51 to 69);
(c)schedule 5 (section 53(2)(b): Relevant events etc.);
(d)Chapter 3 of Part 2 (offensive weapons, fireworks and control of sex offenders) (sections 73 to 80);
(e)section 81 (power to require giving of certain information in addition to name and address);
(f)section 98 (enforcement of Sea Fisheries (Shellfish) Act 1967(2));
(g)section 101, insofar as it relates to the provisions of schedule 6 specified in paragraph (h) (modification of enactments); and
(h)paragraphs 1(1), (2), (4)(a), (5)(a), (5)(c), (5)(d) and (8), and 2 to 4 of schedule 6 (modification of enactments).

This Order brings into force the following provisions of the Police, Public Order and Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 2006 (asp 10) on 1st September 2006:–
(a)Chapter 3 of Part 1 (allowances payable to special constables, appointments of assistant inspectors of constabulary and staff officers and constables engaged on service outside their force) (sections 48 to 50);
(b)Chapter 1 of Part 2 (football banning orders, offensive weapons, fireworks and control of sex offenders) (sections 51 to 69);
(c)schedule 5 (section 53(2)(b): Relevant events etc.);
(d)Chapter 3 of Part 2 (offensive weapons, fireworks and control of sex offenders) (sections 73 to 80);
(e)section 81 (power to require giving of certain information in addition to name and address);
(f)section 98 (enforcement of Sea Fisheries (Shellfish) Act 1967 (c. 83));
(g)section 101, insofar as it relates to the provisions of schedule 6 specified in paragraph (h) (modification of enactments); and
(h)paragraphs 1(1), (2), (4)(a), (5)(a), (5)(c) (5)(d) and (8), and 2 to 4 of schedule 6 (modification of enactments).
