The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs(1) makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 5 and 6 of the Agriculture Act (Northern Ireland) 1949(2).
These Regulations are made with the approval of the Department of Finance(3) under sections 5 and 6 of the Agriculture Act (Northern Ireland) 1949.
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Farming for the Generations Scheme (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2024 and shall come into operation on 6th March 2024.
2.—(1) The Farming for the Generations Scheme Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2024(4) are amended as follows.
(2) Omit regulation 9.
(3) In regulation 11, omit paragraph (1)(c).

These Regulations amend the Farming for the Generations Scheme Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2024 to omit regulation 9 and amend regulation 11 to remove powers of inspection.
The Ministry of Agriculture for Northern Ireland became the Department of Agriculture for Northern Ireland, see the Northern Ireland Constitution Act 1973 c.36 section 40 and Schedule 5 paragraph 8(1); Renamed as the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development by the Departments (Northern Ireland) Order 1999 S.I. 1999/283 (N.I.1) Article 3(4) and the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs the Departments Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 c.5 (N.I.) section 1(2)
The “Ministry of Finance” is now the “Department of Finance”; see section 1(4) of the Departments Act (NI) 2016 (c.5(N.I.))
