1. These Regulations may be cited as The Financial Assistance (Coronavirus) (Airports) (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2021 and shall come into operation on 31st March 2021.
2. The Financial Assistance (Coronavirus) (Airports) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020(3) are amended in accordance with regulation 3.
3. In paragraph 4(2) of the Schedule to The Financial Assistance (Coronavirus) (Airports) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020, for “is not to exceed £7.8m” substitute “is not to exceed £10,030,000.00”.

These Regulations amend The Financial Assistance (Coronavirus) (Airports) (Northern Ireland) Scheme 2020 which provided for financial assistance (Coronavirus Financial Assistance) to be awarded to Belfast International Airport and Belfast City Airport by means of provision of financial assistance to the respective operators.
Regulation 1 provides for citation and commencement.
Regulations 2 and 3 provide for the amendment of paragraph 4(2) of the Schedule to The Financial Assistance (Coronavirus) (Airports) (Northern Ireland) Scheme 2020.
The Department of Finance and Personnel was renamed the Department of Finance by section 1(4) of, and Schedule 1 to, the Departments Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 (c.5 (N.I.))
