The Office of the First Minister and deputy First Minister, in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 5(1) and (2) of the Ombudsman (Northern Ireland) Order 1996(1) and Article 4(1) and (2) of the Commissioner for Complaints (Northern Ireland) Order 1996(2) and now vested in it(3) makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Salaries (Assembly Ombudsman and Commissioner for Complaints) Order (Northern Ireland) 2014 and shall have effect from 1st April 2013.
2. The Salaries (Assembly Ombudsman and Commissioner for Complaints) Order (Northern Ireland 2009(4) is revoked.
3. The annual salaries payable to the Assembly Ombudsman and the Commissioner for Complaints shall be increased from £128,296 to £129,579 from 1st April 2013.

This Order provides for an increase in the annual salaries payable to the Assembly Ombudsman for Northern Ireland and the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Complaints.
This provision is made with retrospective effect from 1st April 2013 under Article 5(2) of the Ombudsman (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 and Article 4(2) of the Commissioner for Complaints (Northern Ireland) Order 1996.
Article 2 revokes the Salaries (Assembly Ombudsman and Commissioner for Complaints) Order (Northern Ireland) 2009.
