The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development(1) in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Articles 5(1), 19(e) and (i), 20(1) and (2), 21(a), 24(1) and (1A), 29(1) and (2) and 60(1), paragraph 2 of Part II, and paragraph 1 of Part III of Schedule 3 to the Diseases of Animals (Northern Ireland) Order 1981(2), makes the following Order.
1. This Order may be cited as the Importation of Animals (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2014 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2014.
2. The Importation of Animals Order (Northern Ireland) 1986(3) shall be amended as follows—
(a)In Articles 10, 11, 13 and 16 for each occurrence of the words “the notice prescribed in Schedule 3” substitute the words “a notice”;
(b)Schedule 3 shall be omitted.

This Order amends the Importation of Animals Order (Northern Ireland) 1986 (S.R. 1986 No. 253) by omitting Schedule 3 and making certain consequential amendments.
The Department of Agriculture for Northern Ireland was renamed the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development by Article 3(4) of The Departments (Northern Ireland) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/283 (N.I. 1)
