The Department of the Environment makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by Articles 61(1), 66(1) and 218(1) of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981(1).
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Public Service Vehicles (Licence Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2009.
2. In the Public Service Vehicles Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1985(2) for Schedule 7 substitute—

3. The Public Service Vehicles (Licence Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007(3) are revoked.
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations further amend the Public Service Vehicles Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1985 by increasing some of the fees payable.
For an initial application for a vehicle licence (regulation 5(3)) the following fees have increased—
(a)Buses—
Class I, II and III, from £85.50 to £90.50;
Class IA, from £97.50 to £102.50;
Class IIA, from £110.00 to £115.00 and
Class IIIA, from £122.00 to £127.00.
(b)Taxi, from £126.50 to £138.50
For a re-application for a vehicle licence (regulation 9(2)) the following fees have increased—
(c)Buses—
Class I, II and III, from £85.50 to £90.50;
Class IA, from £97.50 to £102.50;
Class IIA, from £110.00 to £115.00; and
Class IIIA, from £122.00 to £127.00.
(d)Taxi, from £126.50 to £138.50.
All other fees remain unchanged.
The Public Service Vehicles (Licence Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007 are revoked.
