For the purposes of this item – “passenger car” means a motor vehicle which –

(a)

is constructed or adapted to carry passengers and is not a goods vehicle;

(b)

*has no more than 6 seats including the driver’s seat; and

has a maximum gross weight not exceeding 2,500 kg.

*Note: (b) does not apply to vehicles manufactured after 1st January 2001.

“Class III” vehicle means a goods vehicle (category NI) which has a reference mass exceeding 1,760 kg.
