Citation, commencement and interpretation
1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Public Service Vehicles (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003 and shall come into operation on 30th April 2003.
(2) In these Regulations “the principal Regulations” means the Public Service Vehicles Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1985(1).
Amendments to regulation 6 (inspection of vehicle and grant of licence)
2.—(1) Regulation 6 of the principal Regulations shall be amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) and (3).
(2) After paragraph (2)(f) the word “or” shall be deleted.
(3) After paragraph (2)(g) there shall be inserted–
“; or
(h)in the case of a vehicle to which the Public Service Vehicles Accessibility Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003(2) apply wheelchair restraining devices are not installed in the vehicle at the time it is submitted for examination.”.
