REGISTRATION OF CLUBS

The Department of Health and Social Services, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 6(1) of the Registration of Clubs (Northern Ireland) Order 1996(1) and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Registration of Clubs (Certificate of Registration) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1997 and shall come into operation on 25th March 1997.
2. A certificate of registration shall be in the form set out in the Schedule and shall in addition to the matters specified in Article 6(1)(a) to (d) of the Registration of Clubs (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 also specify the matters prescribed in Parts IV to VI of that Schedule.
3. The Registration of Clubs (Certificate of Registration) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1988(2) are hereby revoked.

These regulations—
(a)set out the form of a certificate of registration to be issued and renewed by the courts in respect of clubs registered under the Registration of Clubs (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 for the supply and keeping for supply of intoxicating liquor on club premises; and
(b)prescribe certain matters which that certificate must specify.
The regulations revoke the Registration of Clubs (Certificate of Registration) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1988.
