The Education (Assisted Places) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2006

Title, commencement and application

1.—(1) The title of these Regulations is the Education (Assisted Places) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2006 and they come into force on 23 November 2006.

(2) Regulation 3 applies in relation to Wales in respect of a relevant remission question.

(3) In paragraph (2) above, “relevant remission question” means a remission question under the Education (Assisted Places) Regulations 1997 and which—

(a) arises in respect of a school year beginning on or after 1 September 2006; and

(b) has not been determined at the date on which these Regulations come into force.

Amendment of the Education (Assisted Places) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2005

2.  At the end of paragraph (3) of regulation 1 of the Education (Assisted Places) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2005(1), there is inserted “provided that the question is not one referred to paragraph (3) of regulation 1 of the Education (Assisted Places) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2006”.

Amendment of the Education (Assisted Places) Regulations 1997

3.—(1) The Education (Assisted Places) Regulations 1997(2) are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 10(4) and (6), substitute “£1,625” for “£1,575” in each place where it appears.

(3) In paragraph 1 of Schedule 2, substitute “£12,470” for “£12,182”.

(4) For the table following paragraph 2(1) of that Schedule substitute the following table—
