(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations make amendments to the School Information (England) Regulations 2008 (“the 2008 Regulations”) and come into force on 12th December 2013. The amendments apply to maintained schools.
Regulation 10 of the 2008 Regulations requires maintained schools to publish the information specified in Schedule 4 to those Regulations on their website. Paragraph 4 of that Schedule requires schools to publish the most recent key stage 2 results, as published in the School Performance Tables published on the Department for Education’s website.
The Department will no longer combine key stage 2 pupils’ reading and writing results to produce an overall English level. Instead, it will report separately on reading and writing results.
These Regulations amend paragraph 4 of Schedule 4 to the 2008 Regulations to ensure that the information which the Department publishes is reflected accurately on the maintained schools’ websites.
No impact assessment has been produced for this instrument because no significant impact on business, civil society organisations or the public sector is foreseen.
