The Secretary of State for Education makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 537(1) of the Education Act 1996(1):
1996 c.56. Relevant amendments to section 537 have been made by paragraph 37 of Schedule 7 to the Education Act 1997 (c.44), paragraph 152(a) of Schedule 30 to the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 (c.31) and paragraph 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 2 to S.I. 2010/1158. See section 579 of the Education Act 1996 for the definitions of “prescribed” and “regulations”.
