Works at London Bridge

In Greater London—

In the London borough of Southwark—

  • Work No. 1 A railway (507 metres in length) being a deviation of the existing southbound railway of the Northern Line, commencing by a junction with that railway beneath the river Thames at a point 153 metres north-east of the junction of London Bridge and Montagu Close and terminating by a junction with that railway beneath a point 82 metres north-east of the junction of Union Street and Borough High Street.

  • Work No. 2 A new ticket hall and subway (135 metres in length), including an escalator subway, commencing beneath a point 24 metres south-west of the junction of Bedale Street and Borough High Street and terminating beneath a point 21 metres north of the junction of London Bridge Street and Borough High Street.

  • Work No. 3 A subway (89 metres in length) commencing by a junction with an existing subway beneath a point 27 metres east of the junction of London Bridge Street and Borough High Street and terminating by a junction with the Northern Line southbound station tunnel beneath a point 83 metres north-east of the junction of those streets.

  • Work No. 4 A subway (26 metres in length) commencing by a junction with Work No. 3 beneath a point 44 metres north-east of the junction of London Bridge Street and Borough High Street and terminating by a junction with the Northern line southbound station tunnel beneath a point 53 metres north-east of the junction of those streets.

  • Work No. 5 A subway (26 metres in length) commencing by a junction with Work No. 2 at a point 23 metres south-west of the junction of St. Thomas Street and Borough High Street and terminating in the footway of Borough High Street at a point 32 metres south-west of the junction of those streets.

  • Work No. 6 A subway (27 metres in length) commencing by a junction with Work No. 2 at a point 34 metres south-west of the junction of St. Thomas Street and Borough High Street and terminating in Southwark Street at a point 60 metres south-west of the junction of those streets.

  • Work No. 7 A sewer (154 metres in length) being a diversion of part of the Battlebridge sewer commencing by a junction with that sewer beneath a point 27 metres north of the junction of London Bridge Street and Borough High Street and terminating by a junction with that sewer beneath a point 55 metres south-west of the junction of St. Thomas Street and Borough High Street.

  • Work No. 8 A subway including a shaft (90 metres in length) commencing at a point 90 metres south-west of the junction of Southwark Street and Stoney Street and terminating by a junction with Work No. 1 beneath a point 25 metres south-east of the junction of those streets.

Works at Holborn

In the London borough of Camden—

  • Work No. 1 A new ticket hall and subway (202 metres in length), including escalator subways, commencing beneath Southampton Row at a point 20 metres north of the junction of Vernon Place and that street and terminating by a junction with an existing subway beneath a point 15 metres south-east of the junction of High Holborn and Kingsway.

  • Work No. 2 A subway (46 metres in length) commencing by a junction with Work No. 1 beneath a point 21 metres north-east of the junction of High Holborn and Kingsway and terminating by a junction with the eastbound platform of the Piccadilly Line beneath a point 18 metres south-west of the junction of those streets.

  • Work No. 3 A subway (117 metres in length) commencing by a junction with Work No. 1 beneath a point 5 metres south of the junction of Catton Street and Southampton Row and terminating by a junction with an existing subway beneath a point 90 metres south-east of the junction of those streets.

  • Work No. 4 A subway (38 metres in length) commencing by a junction with Work No. 3 beneath a point 50 metres south-east of the junction of Catton Street and Southampton Row and terminating by a junction with an existing subway 76 metres south-east of the junction of those streets.

  • Work No. 5 A subway (16 metres in length) commencing by a junction with Work No. 1 in the new ticket hall beneath a point 13 metres south-west of the junction of Vernon Place and Southampton Row and terminating in the footway of Southampton Row beneath a point 20 metres south of the junction of those streets.

  • Work No. 6 A subway (10 metres in length) commencing by a junction with an existing subway beneath a point 16 metres east of the junction of Theobalds Road and Southampton Row and terminating in the footway of Theobalds Road at a point 24 metres east of the junction of those streets.

  • Work No. 7 A subway (13 metres in length) commencing in Southampton Row 28 metres north-west of the junction of Southampton Row and Vernon Place and terminating in the new ticket hall (Work No. 1 at Holborn) beneath a point 15 metres north-west of the junction of those streets.

Works at Tottenham Court Road

In the city of Westminster and the London borough of Camden—

  • Work No. 1 A new ticket hall and subway (178 metres in length), including an escalator subway, commencing in Oxford Street beneath a point 36 metres west of the junction of that street and Charing Cross Road and terminating by a junction with the Northern Line platform cross-passage beneath a point 6 metres north-east of the junction of Goslett Yard and Charing Cross Road.

  • Work No. 2 A subway (35 metres in length) commencing by a junction with Work No. 1 beneath a point 20 metres north-west of the junction of Goslett Yard and Charing Cross Road and terminating by a junction with the Northern Line platform cross-passage beneath a point 21 metres north of the junction of those streets.

In the city of Westminster—

  • Work No. 3 A subway (110 metres in length), including an escalator subway, commencing by a junction with Work No. 1 in the new ticket hall beneath a point 16 metres north-east of the junction of Falconberg Court and Falconberg Mews and terminating by a junction with the Central Line cross-passage beneath a point 43 metres east of the junction of Soho Street and Oxford Street.

  • Work No. 4 A subway (35 metres in length) commencing by a junction with Work No. 3 beneath a point 50 metres north-west of the junction of Falconberg Court and Falconberg Mews and terminating by a junction with the Central Line cross-passage beneath a point 56 metres east of the junction of Soho Street and Oxford Street.

In the city of Westminster and the London borough of Camden—

  • Work No. 5 A subway (50 metres in length) commencing by a junction with Work No. 1 in the new ticket hall beneath a point 19 metres north-west of the junction of Sutton Row and Charing Cross Road and terminating by a junction with the existing ticket hall in Tottenham Court Road station beneath a point 51 metres north of the junction of those streets.

In the city of Westminster—

  • Work No. 6 A reconstruction of the north-west subway (50 metres in length), including a widening of the existing staircase forming the access thereto, at the Company’s Tottenham Court Road station.
