Nodyn Esboniadol

(Nid yw'r nodyn hwn yn rhan o'r Gorchymyn)

Mae'r Gorchymyn hwn yn rhestru'r holl gyrff hynny sydd, yn nhyb Cynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru, yn gyrff sy'n cael eu cydnabod o fewn adran 214(2)(a) neu (b) o Ddeddf Diwygio Addysg 1988. Prifysgolion, colegau neu gyrff eraill yw'r rhain sydd wedi cael eu hawdurdodi gan Siarter Brenhinol neu gan Ddeddf Seneddol neu oddi tani, i roi graddau, neu gyrff sydd wedi cael caniatâd am y tro gan y cyrff hyn i weithredu ar eu rhan wrth roi graddau. Nid yw gwobr a roddir gan y fath gyrff yn wobr o'r math y cyfeirir ati yn adran 214(1), sy'n ei gwneud yn dramgwydd i unrhyw un roi, cynnig i roi, neu gyhoeddi gwahoddiad mewn perthynas â graddau a gwobrwyon nad ydynt yn cael eu cydnabod.

Mae'r Gorchymyn hwn yn diweddaru ac yn disodli'r rhestr o gyrff sy'n ymddangos yng Ngorchymyn Addysg (Cyrff sy'n Cael eu Cydnabod) (Cymru) 2002, sy'n cael ei ddiddymu. Mae'n cynnwys nifer o sefydliadau sydd wedi cael eu hawdurdodi i roi graddau o dan adran 76 o Ddeddf Addysg Bellach ac Uwch 1992 (p.13) ac adran 48 o Ddeddf Addysg Bellach ac Uwch (yr Alban) 1992 (p.37). Mae hefyd yn cynnwys sefydliad Prifysgol Llundain y rhoddwyd caniatâd iddo gan y Brifysgol i roi graddau Prifysgol Llundain. Mae hefyd yn ymgorffori sefydliad newydd sydd wedi ei greu trwy uno dau sefydliad a newid enw dau sefydliad.
