The National Assembly for Wales (“the National Assembly”) has received a proposal from the Further Education Funding Council for Wales, made in accordance with section 51 of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992(1) (“the Act”), for the dissolution under section 27 of the Act of the further education corporation known as Pencoed College(2) (“the Transferor”);

In exercise of the power conferred on the Secretary of State by section 27 of the Act and now vested in the National Assembly(3), the National Assembly after consulting the Transferor and with the consent of the further education corporation known as Bridgend College of Technology(4) (“the Transferee”) makes the following Order:

1992 c. 13. The functions of the Secretary of State under section 51 were transferred to the National Assembly by the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/672).
