5.—(1) Commission Regulation (EC) No 865/2006 laying down detailed rules concerning the implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No 338/97 on the protection of species of wild fauna and flora by regulating trade therein, is amended as follows.

(2) In Article 1—

(a)in point (4a)—

(i)omit “competent”, in the first place it occurs;

(ii)for “Member State concerned” substitute “United Kingdom”;

(b)in point (5), for “Community” in both places substitute “United Kingdom”.

(3) In Article 7(1), for “Community” substitute “United Kingdom”.
