1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Access to Justice Act 1999 (Destination of Appeals) (Family Proceedings) Order 2014 and comes into force on the date on which section 17(3) of the Crime and Courts Act 2013(1) is brought fully into force.
(2) In this Order—
“the 1984 Act” means the Matrimonial and Family Proceedings Act 1984(2);
“the 2007 Act” means the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007(3);
“the 2011 Order” means the Access to Justice Act 1999 (Destination of Appeals) (Family Proceedings) Order 2011(4);
“authorised court officer” has the meaning assigned to it by rule 44.1 of the Civil Procedure Rules 1998(5) as applied to family proceedings by rule 28.2(1) of the Family Procedure Rules 2010(6); and
“justice of the peace” means a justice of the peace who is not a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts).

S.I. 2010/2955. Rule 28.2(1) was amended by paragraphs 2 and 3(a) of the Family Procedure (Amendment) Rules 2013 (S.I. 2013/530) and by paragraph 72(a) of the Family Procedure (Amendment No. 3) Rules 2013 (S.I.2013/3204).
