The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 4A(3) and (4) of the Government Resources and Accounts Act 2000(1), make the following Order.

In accordance with section 4A(8) of that Act the Treasury have consulted, where they think it appropriate, the Scottish Ministers, the Department of Finance and Personnel for Northern Ireland and the Welsh Ministers.

Title, commencement and interpretation

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Government Resources and Accounts Act 2000 (Estimates and Accounts) (Amendment) Order 2013.

(2) This Order comes into force on 31st January 2014.

(3) In this Order a reference to a table is a reference to column 2 of a table in the Schedule to the Government Resources and Accounts Act 2000 (Estimates and Accounts) Order 2013(2).

Amendment to designations

2.—(1) The Government Resources and Accounts Act 2000 (Estimates and Accounts) Order 2013 is amended as follows.

(2) In each table mentioned in Schedule 1, insert at the appropriate place the bodies which are listed for that table.

(3) In each table mentioned in Schedule 2, omit the bodies which are listed for that table.

(4) In Table 2 (Department of Health), for “Human Genetics Commission” substitute “Emerging Science and Bioethics Commission”.

(5) In Table 4 (Department for Transport), for “London and Continental Railways” substitute “London and Continental Railways Limited”.

(6) In Table 9 (Ministry of Justice), for “Restraint Advisory Board” substitute “Independent Restraint Advisory Panel”.

(7) In Table 15 (Department for Culture, Media and Sport)—

(a)for “Equalities and Human Rights Commission” substitute “Commission for Equality and Human Rights”, and

(b)for “Contracts Rights Renewal Adjudicator” substitute “The Office of the Adjudicator Ltd”.

(8) In Table 19 (HM Treasury), for “Consumer Financial Education Body” substitute “Money Advice Service”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Government Resources and Accounts Act 2000 (Estimates and Accounts) Order 2013 (S.I. 2013/488), which designates specified central government bodies in relation to named government departments for the purpose of those departments’ supply estimates and resource accounts. The effect of the amendments is that additional bodies are designated, the names of some bodies are changed and some bodies are no longer designated.

The designations have effect for the financial year which ends on 31st March 2014.

This Order will have no effect on the costs of business or the voluntary sector. For that reason no impact assessment has been produced.
